Longitude Lines: Lines that run north to south but measure east to west
Prime Meridian: Line of longitude that measures zero degrees
Latitude Lines: Lines that run east to west but measure north to south
Equator: Line of latitude that measures zero degrees
Compass Rose: Symbol on a map that shows directions 
Cardinal Directions: directions that measure north, south, east, west
Intermediate Directions: directions that measure northeast, northwest, southeast and south west
Symbol: Picture that represents something
Physical Map: Shows landforms, elevation and water features
Political Map: This map shows boundaries between states and countries and cities
